Is Cochabamba set to cause a storm at HQ?

Fact: Cochabamba is the 3rd largest city in Bolivia (it's not just racing info you get at NTF!!!)

A handful of runners from the NTF sires in focus list for us to have a look at today.....

IFFRAAJ

1.45 Lingfield - 5f - AW

PEARL ICE (2-1-11-0-0 (14) / 1.55 / 0.36)

Debut. 5 furlongs probably not ideal and Sir Mark could be running this with a view of getting an attractive handicap mark (wouldn't be the first time!). Yard are 3/53 (6%) with 2yo's at the track in recent seasons and I'm happy to watch this one today.

HURRICANE RUN

1.25 Newmarket - 7f - Good to Soft/Soft - Group 3

COCHABAMBA (7-0-9-4-0 (20) (20+) / 1.35 / 0.50)

The highest rated of the Hurricane Run lot and already has some decent form in the bag. Ground should suit and although this is a hot race she must have a decent chance of at least troubling the top 3.

AZAMOUR

3.40 Newmarket - 7f - Soft

LOVING SPIRIT (3-1-10-2-0 (16) / 1.29 / 0.31)

Yard not renowned for 2yo winners and this looks a tough debut for the colt. He is one that should improve over further.
8.30 Dundalk - 1m2f - AW - Group 3

WADE GILES (4-8-6-0-0 (18) / 5.00 / 0.89)

An improving type that should be up to this level and more. Pedigree doesn't scream out for a step up in trip but the way he runs certainly does. With Gitano Hernando and Beethoven in opposition here this is competitive but that 2 are anything but bomb-proof. One major worry is the form of the yard; currently 0 from their last 20 runners and only 2 of them have made the places.

National Hunt 2010/11

The jumping action now starts to slowing warm itself up. A small meeting at Hexham today, with the high class hurdler CAPE TRIBULATION (4th in the Xmas Hurdle at Kempton) making his chasing debut in the 2.40 for the Malcolm Jefferson yard.

Howard Johnson sends a couple out for their first run of the season and he is one of the trainers highlighted in the FREE guide that is available to all subscribers to the NTF updates subscription list. To get your hands on this guide simply fill in your details in the form at the top right hand corner of the Blog.

You will also be given the link to gain £60 worth of FREE bets with WBX.com who have kindly upped their free bet offer from £25 to £60 for all NTF readers.

Happy Punting
